Do I need to cut my hair a certain way during treatment?
No - Revian's light based treatment works by bathing your scalp in two wavelengths of light to help regenerate the cells that grow hair. The light from the Revian cap has been tested and confirmed to penetrate hair follicles, but if there is very thick hair between the LEDs and your scalp the light will be deflected and blocked. However the light will penetrate thinner hair. If there are specific areas of your scalp that you want to treat then it is recommended to part or style your hair prior to treatment in such a way that the light can best reach your scalp in those areas. Treating with slightly damp hair can also help with this.
Continue to cut your hair as you normally would for the style you want. Remember, the regenerated cells heal from the inside out and may take a few months to show new growth. You just want to avoid doing anything that might irritate your scalp or damage the skin while trying to renew it.
